WEEKLY EDITOR UPSET AT GIBSON’S COMMENTS

Shavers weekly editor and Olympic under 21 snail teasing champ 1969, Frank Simpson, waded into the Mel Gibson furore at a hastily convened press conference outside ‘What Nobody Wants’ on the Bridges yesterday afternoon.

TINGLY

Wearing a pastel blue Mackintosh and matching top hat the 59 year old ex gymnast told reporters that he was upset about Mel Gibson’s claim that he ‘owned Malibu.’ “This is just a Hollywood ego that has gotten way out of control and context. If Mr Gibson wants to start showing off about owning Malibu he should come round to my house – There in my ‘tasteful’ drinks cabinet are TWO bottles of Malibu gifted to me from the Late Sir Nicholas Fairbairn in the early eighties. Not only that, they are unopened -yes, that’s right, you heard me  – unopened along with another bottle of Midori,  a litre of Campari and a ‘family pack’ of Diamond Blush. This man Gibson has nothing to show off about – apart from his rugged, masculine good looks,  huge bank balance, legions of devoted fans,  a beautiful, healthy family, and one of the tidiest arses ever seen on celluloid. That scene from the original Lethal weapon still gives me the total tingilies.”

John Gibson from The Evening News, was not available for comment.
